Although it has been made very popular in Ermita for many seafarers in Ermita Manila where Magsaysay Shipping and Maritime office is located that seaman loan pertains to male counterpart of sailors, a
seawoman loan is also offered to female mariners. These sailors are usually employed by oil tankers, barge and cargo ships while females work in luxury passenger and cruise ships. After all, weren't they part of the growing population of maritime workers of today?
